• Lamp type. If the lampshade and the flow of light is directed upward, you will have to install the lamp a little lower on the wall; if the light is directed downward, you can install it higher. But don’t forget that you need to reach the switch without getting up. Having a hanging cord or chain that operates the switch will make the task easier.

If the bedroom has a dressing table, then local lighting will not hurt here either. In this case, hang the sconce at the level of the upper third of the mirror.
