The fireplace area in the living room was decorated using natural marble with brass inserts. The composition with bookshelves, created specifically for this project, was broken down into smaller parts so that it did not visually compete with the more massive television area.”

It all depends on the stone and its texture. The combination of stone and wood in one model is a chalet style that is suitable for country-style country houses. And the fireplace was made in Italy according to the author's sketches from skillfully aged stone.

But there are also modern design solutions in the spirit of hi-tech and minimalism, when wood cladding is used not only for the portal, but also for the entire area around the fireplace. Designer Daria Kharitonova created the interior of a house near Moscow that combined the ideas of a classic Russian estate and a traditional English estate. The decoration of the living room was a fireplace made according to the author's sketches. It is lined with handmade tiles by ceramist Mikhail Manaevsky.
