Depending on the fabric, the same shape can look completely different. Light chintz gives comfort and airiness, while heavy, dense velvet looks pompous and strict. Materials can be divided into two groups.

Synthetics can cause allergies
Natural fabrics do not cause allergies, last a long time, look better than synthetic ones, but they can be eaten by moths and require specific care: no bleaching, no too hot water. The ideal option would be to simply clean them using dry methods.

- the fabric determines the shape - rigid for curly folds, light for soft ones;
- if you are going to make curtains with your own hands, select the fabric so that you need to care for it in one way - if the lining needs to be washed and the main fabric only needs to be cleaned, nothing good will come of it;
- before buying a large piece, try bringing a small piece of fabric into the room - the same silk changes completely depending on the lighting and color of the surrounding interior;
