Designers and hobbyists alike know that it is completely unique, exclusive, complex and poetic. To create such an interior, you need a designer with subtle taste, skilled repairmen, the best finishing materials and luxurious furniture.
The classic interior of an apartment can be different - romantic, pompous, elegant, modern or more traditional. The latter include styles such as Baroque and Rococo, while neoclassicism and classicism are more sophisticated and laconic.

Living room design in classic and neoclassical style
All photos In the photo: Interior design in a classic style
The living room in the photo above is decorated in a neoclassical style and is located in the Kutuzovskaya Riviera residential complex. This project was developed in 2018 and is now in the implementation stage. In the luxury interior design studio of Angelika Prudnikova, we created its concept, layout, decor, designed all communications and lighting, thought through the details of wall and ceiling decoration, furniture arrangement and ergonomics of space. In addition, we selected furniture, upholstery fabrics and other textiles, as well as lamps and decor.
Beautiful classic interiors usually have one thing in common - the designer’s signature style. Today we are talking about the projects of the famous Russian designer Anzhelika Prudnikova, who works both in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and in other cities of Russia, as well as abroad. Her portfolio includes apartments and country houses in the USA, many countries of Western and Eastern Europe, and the Baltic countries.

This approach allows you to make classic decoration and decor more laconic and elegant. After all, this style was originally used for castles, mansions and chateaus!
Provence and neoclassicism in the interior of the house in the Smorodinka community center
All photos of the project Design of a neoclassical living room with a fireplace
For country life, with its regularity and closeness to nature, it is important to choose an appropriate interior that would be conducive to relaxation and contemplation. The design of this timber house is in the neoclassical style, in some places leaning towards Provence, and in some areas towards American classics.
Neoclassical furnishings of a wooden house made of timber
All photos of the project The living room in the house is stretched in height to the ceiling of the second floor
The living room, as the true heart of the house, serves as the main center of attraction for household members and guests. The room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, decorated with a pile of designer pillows, a round burgundy pouf, a pair of classic leather armchairs and an oval coffee table.
Kitchen with dining area
All photos of the project Dining room of a country house in neoclassical style
There is something Bunin-esque in the dining room, which is a continuation of the living room. The interior evokes nostalgia for noble estates. The source of such associations is a cozy furniture composition made up of a real buffet storing the best dishes, an oval wooden table and soft mint-turquoise chairs.

Light wooden walls serve as an excellent frame for a furniture group in natural tones. The turquoise shade of the chairs, “supported” by thick curtains, is reminiscent of a refreshing sea breeze.

Along the oak steps of a spiral staircase we find ourselves on the second floor of a country house, where right in the hall we find another cozy seating area.

In terms of its contents, such a small balcony, which overlooks the first floor, is similar to a small living room in an old house somewhere in the American province. A cozy checkered sofa and leather chair are conducive to long tea parties. A bookcase that seems to have come from the past, a cute lace tablecloth and carpet bring nostalgic notes to the interior.
Bedroom in the attic

Bedrooms with sloping ceilings resemble real attics. In such rooms under the roof you feel closer to the stars. The design of these bedrooms in the house is distinguished by the symmetry of neoclassicism and the noble rustic comfort of Provence.
Classic style apartment design in Barcelona
All photos In the photo: Interior design of an apartment in beige color in a classic style
If you want to decorate your apartment in a classic style, you should know three things. Firstly, this style has strict conventions - characteristic techniques and solutions, ideas and types of decor that a professional designer knows and can implement for you in one project.
Secondly, the key to a harmonious classic interior is proportionality. It will not be difficult for designer Anzhelika Prudnikova to create an interior in this style on both 40 and 440 square meters, but each zone requires detailed design and painstaking work.
And the third secret of the classic style is that it can be made in any color scheme. Of course, it is not customary to use bright colors here, but deep dark, pale pastel, delicate and light variations can create thousands of combinations, one of which you will definitely like.
Luxurious decoration of the living room dining area

Stained glass design of windows, glass doors, cupboards and ceilings is the hallmark of the classic style from designer Anzhelika Prudnikova. Our team creates exclusive sketches of each stained glass window, so you can be sure that there is nothing like it in the whole world!
The classic interior of an apartment is not complete without stucco finishing elements. Their location is often dictated by the canons of style, and not just by the actual layout and arrangement of furniture in your project. The characteristic silhouettes and location allow you to create both a traditional interior, the same as in French palaces and classical estates, and absolutely exclusive, exclusively for your apartment.
Neoclassical in beige tones
All photos In the photo: Living room design in beige
In this luxurious traditional living room in a modern classic style, the main color is beige. A couple of shades of brown - milk and dark chocolate - complement the light and sophisticated interior here.
The classic interior of an apartment will be appropriate if the designer creates the interior according to traditional canons and according to the layout that was proposed by him. It often turns out that the best options (from the point of view of both aesthetics and comfort) are obtained when the author of the project has complete freedom of action.
Glamorous neoclassicism in the design of an apartment in the Yauza Park residential complex
All photos of the project Beautiful living room with an office in an apartment in the Yauza Park residential complex
The interior of the apartment in the Yauza Park residential complex with its studio space, delicate colors, abundance of books and paintings is reminiscent of the expensive apartments of some representative of the New York elite. On the one hand, there is nothing flaunting wealth in this space. But, at the same time, we understand that behind all this modesty lies considerable investment.
Graceful hallway
All photos of the project The hallway is furnished with a cream-beige couch with screed
The interior composition of the hallway, as befits neoclassicism, is built according to the laws of symmetry. The central element in this case was a figured mirror. A powder-colored couch with a silver glossy frame looks aristocratic and harmonizes well with the floral arrangement and the soft plum background color of the walls. A round light fixture adds vintage charm to the space.

Immediately after the office area with a black bookcase, a cozy dining room with chocolate-colored chairs begins. As in the living room, here we can see a fresco with black and white trees framed by symmetrical mirrors. The dining room is separated from the kitchen by a bar counter. The interior of the studio space is designed in calm shades of tiramisu and creme brulee.

Unusual accents in the form of a coffee table on golden legs and a console behind the sofa are stylistically close to each other, which helps maintain the unity of the studio space.
Snow-white bedroom

The interior of this bedroom seems to be carved out of snow, so it seems that Elsa herself from “Frozen” took part in its creation. The built-in fireplace forms a play of ice and flame against a general light background. A golden chandelier with pendants seems like a miraculous creation and looks simply fabulous.
Pink children's

A walk through this children's room is like a mini-trip through the land of flowers and dreams. Everything here is surrounded by roses. Every corner of the room has some remarkable feature. The sitting area features shell-shaped furniture and a zebra-patterned rug.

Classical Baroque and Rococo styles
All photos In the photo: Living room interior in the Baroque style
The Baroque style is even more pompous and luxurious than the traditional classic one. It has features characteristic of the design of palaces, chateaus and museums, castles and palazzos. Baroque is the style of houses of nobles, emphatically ceremonial and ceremonial. It will impress you with gold accents, incredibly intricate finishes and exquisitely crafted furniture with exceptional detailing.
Beige and blue living room in Baroque style
All photos In the photo: Design of a bay window in a living room in the Baroque style
Unlike Baroque, the Rococo style has more subtle features and lines, and is often done in a white and blue color scheme. Of course, being lighter and more delicate, Rococo appeared later than Baroque and is its more modern version. As in the case of classics and neoclassics. By the way, Baroque arose in the 17th-18th centuries, in Italy, after the end of the Renaissance, while Rococo - at the beginning of the 18th century, as a truly French, elegant and skillful style.
If Baroque is about contrast, tension and dynamism of images, bright luxury and expression, then Rococo is more about playfulness, floridity and airiness, creative asymmetry and soft, smooth forms.

For an interior in the Baroque style, gold is almost like brickwork for the loft style - irreplaceable, mandatory, delightful and accurately emphasizes the general features of the style. Gilding of moldings, stucco, door and furniture handles, various furniture parts, textiles and fabrics with gilding, as well as gilded openwork decorative elements is what makes Baroque such a delightful style for the interior.
Noble design for the kitchen
The classic kitchen interior is characterized by festive elegance and a cozy atmosphere. Thus, the refined taste and best sides of the homeowners are emphasized. At the same time, it is important to make the kitchen as functional and comfortable as possible. It is imperative to have modern technology that improves the quality of life.
To hide equipment, niches and wall cabinets are used.
In the kitchen you will need to find a specific place where alcoholic drinks will be located. A closet or chest of drawers is perfect for these purposes. Glasses and other utensils are placed on special holders. Its appearance should be beautiful, and the cost should be high.
If designed correctly, it will also serve as an interesting and modern decor for the room.

American version
The classical style was known back in the colonial era. It was at this time that many Europeans moved to live in America. They brought to the new country things, objects and methods of organizing life that took into account the characteristics and traditions of their homeland.
Thanks to this, the classic interior became known to the Americans, with whom it took root well.
A feature of the interior is the absence of partitions and small rooms. American classics are used for arranging large areas. It looks great in a living room of more than 100 square meters. In the center of the room there is a large sofa, which is comfortable.
A fireplace is a must to add coziness to the room.

The peculiarity of the design of small rooms is that the classics look good in them only when designed by a professional. The designer's skill will not prevent you from having a good interior in a classic style, even in rooms with low ceilings or the inability to create a flow of natural light.

And of course, in such an interior, much attention is paid to textiles, precisely selected both in color and material quality by an experienced designer.
Varieties of style
Classic interior is popular not only in Russia, but also in other countries. It has been known for quite a long time and has changed over the course of its existence. It was supplemented and improved by different generations of people. As a result, a direction was received with parameters that everyone accepted.
Traditionally, classics in the interior clearly express national habits.
Household appliances occupy an important place in a person’s life and one cannot live without them. They determine how comfortable it will be to live and relax in the apartment.
This requirement is taken into account in the modern version of the style.
The following subtypes of direction are distinguished:
- Rococo;
- Baroque;
- Empire;
- Classicism.
Obvious luxury refers primarily to the Baroque, Rococo and Empire styles, but classicism may well be modest and ascetic.

Interior of an entrance hall and corridor in a classic style
All photos In the photo: Interior design of a hallway in an apartment in a classic style.
The design of a hallway and corridor in a classic style has its own rules. For example, especially luxurious stucco molding and high baseboards are popular here; the floor design is usually fantasy and combines several shades. Particular attention is paid to the design of doors - interior doors, wardrobes and walk-in closets. In the decoration of walls, both wood panels and silk wallpaper, mirrors, and stucco elements can be used.

A classic style hallway should be well lit. The correct placement of several light sources will create a feeling of casual luxury, so this interior will look great both in the morning and in the evening. For the interior of the hallway, designers most often choose light shades to make the space seem larger visually.
Doors with mirror inserts
All photos In the photo: Interior design of a hallway in a classic style
The harmonious composition of various noble materials, for example, several types of marble, as well as wood and faceted mirrors, stucco molding and complex ceiling finishing options, allows you to make any classic hallway look like a luxurious hall. Such an interior in itself looks like a work of art, and in combination with the royal living room, immaculate kitchen and other rooms it makes up a simply excellent ensemble. Mirror inserts on the door leaves help to visually expand a small room and enhance its illumination.

This design project was created for an apartment in Slovenia, which will be decorated in a classic style. In the visualization above you can see the interior of the hallway, living room, stunning stained glass ceilings and Greek columns, as well as an exclusive designer panel with an original design used in the floor decoration.
Expressive luxury of Baroque
All photos In the photo: Classic interior of an apartment in the Baroque style
The beautiful interior of a classic hallway in the Baroque style differs from traditional classics primarily in the amount of decor and color scheme. The wood here can be chosen from dark and bright red species, which will instantly change the mood of the entire interior. And trim pieces such as pseudo-columns, moldings and medallions will be more ornate and more intricately detailed.
Baroque as a style is more suitable for bright, spacious rooms than small ones, because it requires more space and natural light to reveal all its beauty. So, only owners of apartments with an area of 100-130 square meters should think about it.
Renovation of classic living rooms and kitchens. Photo
Renovating an apartment in a classic style sometimes involves combining the kitchen and living room. As a rule, with this redevelopment option, designers try to avoid any deliberate zoning elements in the form of bar counters and kitchen islands, which are more consistent with modern style trends than with respectable classics. An ordinary dining table installed on the border of two functional zones will help to draw a conventional boundary between the living room and kitchen in a classic studio space. Renovation in a classic style may not imply the creation of a studio space. And to achieve a studio effect, the technique of increasing the doorway between the kitchen and living room is often used.
Living-dining room in light gray tones
In the photo: Living-dining room in neoclassical style in an apartment on Lomonosovsky Prospekt
If an Art Deco living room can be focused on noisy parties in the spirit of Holly Golightly, then a classic reception room sets the mood for more relaxed receptions and gatherings in a close family or friendly circle. Most living rooms in the classic style are combined with dining rooms. In this room in a Moscow apartment, there was room not only for a gray sofa with paisley upholstery, but also for a small dining area with a round table and a black piano. Thanks to a musical instrument, the living room turns into a cozy lounge for creative evenings.
Beige kitchen combined with living room
In the photo: Design project of a bright kitchen combined with a living room
The neoclassical kitchen in beige tones is combined with the living room by expanding the door portal. Thanks to this technique, the kitchen area with a small dining area seems to be placed in a neat niche. The conventional border between the kitchen and living room is emphasized by white pilasters. Such an interior, thanks to correctly selected shades and undertones of beige, will always look festive and presentable. But, at the same time, neutral light colors do not tend to bother household members.
Kitchen-dining room with mosaic tiles in finishing
In the photo: Features of the design of the kitchen-dining room with mosaic tiles in the decoration
The classic kitchen-dining room in light colors was decorated with small mosaic tiles, in which various shades of chocolate alternate: from milky truffle to cocoa tones. Decorated with a floral still life in a gold frame, the wall in the dining area is illuminated by golden sconces. The interior composition turned out to be more harmonious due to the smooth gradation of shades from the beige ceiling to the light brown walls and dark porcelain stoneware floor.
Classic living room with white furniture
In the photo: Bright living room in a classic style with light furniture
A living room in a classic style does not need modern designer chairs. And even furniture in the spirit of the palaces of the last French Louis is not always appropriate here. Especially if we are talking about an ordinary city apartment. In such apartments you can limit yourself to modern white sofas. And the stylistic affiliation of the room to the classics will be emphasized by French-style chairs or massive wooden cabinets.
Living room with office surrounded by a partition
In the photo: Classic living room with an office separated by a transparent partition
The configuration of this room made it possible to equip several zones in the space at once. With the help of a partition divided into transparent squares, the designers of the Fundament Group were able to organize an office-library. The dining room is located near the large window. A transparent partition will not interfere with insolation: light from the window in the office will also penetrate into the living-dining room.
Bright living room with corner sofa
In the photo: Small living room in beige tones with jade accents
Classics will look presentable not only in large houses, but also in very small rooms, provided that you choose the right furniture and color palette. In terms of color, it is better to give preference to light monochrome, which visually enlarges the space. And this range can be diluted with muted tones of green watercolor or cornflower blue shades. A corner sofa, selected exactly according to the configuration of the room, will create several seats and turn your living room into a home theater.
Neoclassical kitchen-living room with bar counter
In the photo: Features of the design and organization of studio space in the neoclassical style
The kitchen-living room in the neoclassical style in the photo serves as a good example of the proper organization of studio space. The white bar counter, which serves as a continuation of the kitchen unit, despite its modernity, fits very organically into the classic space. Frosty blue color accents in the form of chairs and sofa cushions bring a bit of minty freshness to the composition.
Living room in pearlescent tones with pilasters
In the photo: Bright living room in a classic style with white pilasters
A bright living room in a classic style with white pilasters on the walls, thanks to miniature furniture in the spirit of French interiors of the last century, resembles a doll's house. Due to their reflective properties, the mother-of-pearl sofa and armchair create an additional play of shadows and highlights in the space. A floral still life on the wall brings in autumn colors.
Living room in ocher tones with green accents
In the photo: Decorating a living room in a classic style with green accents
White moldings and pilasters are used to decorate ocher walls in a classic living room. A wide light cornice with stucco visually lengthens the walls, thereby raising the ceiling. And green sofa cushions help to dilute the monochrome palette, woven from various shades of brown.
Stucco molding in the design of the TV area
In the photo: Beige living room with a corner sofa and molded baguette in the decor of the TV area
As you know, modern household appliances do not always look good in the classics. In order to harmoniously integrate the same TV into a classic living room, you will have to resort to little tricks. You can, for example, order a television panel that, when turned off, looks like an ordinary mirror. Often a TV is disguised as a painting. This is not difficult to do. A golden stucco molding will not only be a beautiful design for your TV, but will also make the panel look like an artistic canvas. The TV area itself, consisting of a console and shelves for books, can also be emphasized with a frame.

Classic office interior in white is a fashionable trend in interior design. The traditional appearance of the office, like an aristocratic home office with a library, a sofa, and a luxurious desk made of natural wood, is preserved, but the dark brown color scheme is replaced by white - light, pleasant and light. Thanks to this approach, the office will be a favorite place for all family members.
